June 2013 – Pianist Frederick Moyer’s latest CD, When Summer Comes, (released on the JRI Recordings label) has been receiving excellent praise from jazz music critics.
Moyer is best known as a classical pianist, playing Brahms and Rachmaninoff alongside some of the greatest orchestras in the world. He is also a founding member of the critically acclaimed Jazz Arts Trio. With the release of When Summer Comes, listeners are introduced to Moyer improvising on well-loved standards as well as a few slightly lesser-known tunes by Oscar Peterson and Bill Evans, and even one by Moyer.
